Housekeeping Supervisor
Le Gray Beirut is looking for a dedicated and experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team.
About the Role
Under the guidance of the Executive Housekeeper, the Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for assigning and supervising the activities of Room Attendants and Public Area Attendants, ensuring that guest rooms, corridors, fire exits, stairways, service areas and public areas are clean, orderly, attractive and maintained to the standards of the hotel.
Role Description
- Supervise Room Attendants and Public Area Attendants and take immediate corrective action when work does not meet the required standards.
- Verify that assigned duties have been satisfactorily completed and sign worksheets before employees finish their shifts.
- Ensure adequate linen, guest supplies and cleaning equipment are available on assigned floors according to established par stocks.
- Maintain clean, organized and properly stocked pantries, service areas and storerooms, ensuring that stock and linen are stored and used correctly to prevent damage, soiling and wastage.
- Report maintenance requirements promptly and monitor work progress, escalating unsatisfactory response times to the Executive Housekeeper or designate.
- Actively monitor housekeeping personnel to ensure guests receive prompt, cordial and personalized attention.
- Schedule and conduct routine inspections of equipment and areas under housekeeping control.
- Ensure guest requests and inquiries are handled courteously and efficiently, supporting uninterrupted service.
- Prepare daily worksheets and allocate duties to Room Attendants and Public Area Attendants according to the rota and occupancy.
- Conduct daily inspections of vacant and occupied rooms, including SAG rooms, ensuring that rooms are clean, fully supplied and presented according to hotel standards.
- Assist with housekeeping inventories and ensure adequate supplies are available.
- Assist in monitoring and implementing housekeeping policies, procedures and key standards to ensure optimum guest satisfaction and profitability.
- Monitor the progress and performance of new and existing team members.
- Handle guest complaints personally and inform the Executive Housekeeper/Assistant Executive Housekeeper of the action taken or planned.
Qualifications
- Experienced in a Housekeeping Supervisor or similar supervisory role, preferably within a luxury hotel environment.
- Strongly knowledgeable in guestroom and public area cleaning standards and housekeeping operations.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented and able to effectively manage priorities according to occupancy and guest requirements.
- A hands-on supervisor with strong leadership and team-management skills.
- Guest-focused, professional and committed to delivering exceptional service standards.
- An effective communicator who can build positive relationships with colleagues and guests.
- Flexible and able to work effectively in a fast-paced hotel environment.
