Fixed Assets Officer
Le Gray Beirut is looking for a dynamic, motivated, and results-driven Fixed Assets Officer to join our finance team.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and controlling the hotel’s fixed asset database, ensuring that all assets are accurately recorded, identified, allocated, and regularly reconciled.
Role Description
- Maintain and update the hotel’s Fixed Asset Register.
- Maintain accurate room-by-room asset allocation, including furniture, fixtures, equipment, electronics, and other assets.
- Assign and maintain asset identification numbers and tags.
- Record and monitor asset additions, transfers, movements, disposals, and write-offs.
- Ensure assets are correctly allocated by room, department, outlet, and location.
- Monitor asset values and provide the information required for depreciation calculations.
- Prepare fixed asset, depreciation, allocation, reconciliation, and variance reports.
- Conduct periodic physical verification of hotel assets and investigate discrepancies.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Housekeeping, F&B, Purchasing, IT, and other departments to ensure asset records remain accurate.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to fixed assets.
- Assist with internal and external audits and provide the required supporting documentation.
- Ensure compliance with the hotel’s fixed asset policies and internal controls.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in Fixed Assets, Accounting, Inventory Control, Cost Control, or a similar role.
- Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality environment is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of Excel and accounting/ERP systems.
- Good understanding of fixed assets, depreciation, capitalization, and reconciliation.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Highly organized, proactive, and capable of working across multiple departments.
